Moving and our new home

In June of 2013, we moved to our new home in Salisbury, MD on the Eastern Shore, also known as the Delmarva Peninsula – an area including DELaware, and parts of MARyland and VirginiA. We’re only 30 minutes from the Chesapeake Bay on the west, and the Atlantic Ocean on the east. Though we wouldn’t call ourselves “beach people” I have a feeling we certainly will become it. We are still getting settled in, but things are finally starting to calm down so it’s time to get back to blogging!

There were many days in Jackson of packing and a very long day of loading a gigantic Penske truck, with the help of many dear friends. Then began the 1000+ mile trip with our Penske towing one car and me driving the other with the dog. It was supposed to take around 18 hours – but, thanks to Tropical Storm Andrea, it took much longer. But we eventually made it, and that’s all that matters!

Home at last!

We’ve been here almost two months now, and the house is…well, it’s getting there. Though our new home has many exciting aspects to it (including a dishwasher YAY!), my personal favorite is my own sewing room (more on that later)! Also, more to come on what we’ve been up to in Salisbury since our arrival
